The Treasury Department thinks the top cloud vendors are too “powerful”in the banking sector, reports Forbes.

The U.S. Treasury released a report titled The Financial Services Sector’s Adoption of Cloud Services identifying banks’ approaches towards cloud computing deployment, the challenges they face, and the potential downsides of having three cloud services providers (CSPs)—Amazon, Google, and Microsoft—dominate the market.

According to WRAL Tech Wire, IBM has created a cloud based supercomputer.

 If “Terminator” were written today, why not put the artificial mind in the “cloud” where there’s no single point of failure, let along a “bare metal” host site subject to discovery and destruction? 

According to TechWare, Google Cloud may finally be working with VMWare.
