IBM Gives AT & T 5G a Boost

According to SDX Central, AT & T will increase the reach of its 5g network by hitching a ride on IBM’s Satellite Cloud Platform.

AT&T is set to be one of the first passengers on IBM’s Satellite Cloud platform, with the telecom operator using that ride to bolster the reach and depth of its 5G network into enterprise markets. The move is also the latest by AT&T in tapping edge platforms from cloud providers to extend that network.

Google Gets Serious About Cloud

According to CNBC, Google will start reporting on its cloud operating income or losses.

Google wants investors to know its cloud business isn’t going anywhere. During its third quarter earnings call Thursday, the company — which doesn’t provide revenue guidance — said it will start reporting operating income (or losses) for its cloud business, joining Amazon in giving investors more details.
