Cloud computing offers many benefits to organizations of all sizes. Cloud service providers (CSPs) make cutting-edge technology available to customers without the capital costs associated with purchasing and maintaining hardware and software.

The benefits of migrating IT systems to the cloud are well-documented. Enhanced flexibility and cost savings are two of the advantages enjoyed by organizations when moving part of their computing environment to the cloud. Gartner estimates that the worldwide public cloud market will top $266 billion in 2020 and will continue to exhibit substantial growth in the next several years. 

Rackspace recently rebranded and is focusing on providing unbiased managed cloud services. CEO Joe Eazor stated the rebranding of the company is intended to emphasize that “the primary goal is to accelerate the allure of the cloud for customers.” Rackspace is meeting customers where they are currently at with their cloud systems and assisting with the roadmap. The timing of this is very good as the adaptation of hybrid cloud and multi-cloud becomes the norm across the enterprise landscape. According to a Forrester research report, 74 percent of enterprises have added the hybrid cloud to their organizational roadmap.
